UPDATED: August 3, 2018 for slight errata and clearer instructions.

My first published design, created when I needed a little shoulder cover to go with a particular dress. (Pics here with a t-shirt.) It is one size only at this point.

It is essentially a rectangle with lace edges. It starts with a provisional cast-on, is knit in the round for the first inch, knit flat for the main body, re-joined in the round and then the first sleeve lace is knit and bound off. Lace for the other sleeve and around the body is picked up along the edges.

I used circular needles for the whole project, sometimes in a magic loop and sometimes flat. It could be modified to be knit completely flat, or using dpn’s.

You could use any fingering or dk yarn for this project, just check the gauge vs the measurements you want.

I would call this a medium size (30” x 14”) but it could be increased or decreased by width and/or length and/or gauge.

You will also need a crochet hook around size f depending on your tension.
