Sweet Little Doll
PLEASE READ to know what this PDF contains.
This 12-page PDF contains everything you need to make the baby dolls in the photos above. These little dolls can be made in a wide assortment of yarns perfect for the little ones. They are 10” with the materials that I have used. This is NOT a beanie pattern and the beanies are not included. I have just made simple beanies from the leftover yarn.
I give loads of detailed information in my patterns with hints and tips and tricks.
I have designed these to have almost NO SEWING and require minimal materials and time.
These are written to be very beginner friendly. I have a FULL PHOTO TUTORIAL at the end of the pattern from my Furry Friends Collection. There are 4 full pages of photos at the end with step-by-step visuals to make this a very beginner friendly pattern.
For the more advanced crocheter, these work up in under 2 hours for me!
Most of my toy patterns are made with 4-ply worsted weight yarn scraps like Red Heart Super Saver, Caron One Pound and Impeccable Yarn.
These babies are mostly made holding two strands of yarn at the same time, but are adapted from my Pajama Babies (also available in my Ravelry Shop) and those are made with sometimes only 1 strand like velvet yarn.
This pattern is very adaptable to many types of yarn.
How much yarn will you need? The bunny-eared baby made from the same pattern was made with K&C Angel Hair #5 yarn (110 yds/3.5oz/100m/100g) and I had the smallest of balls leftover from that baby, but she also uses a tiny bit of 4-ply worsted weight yarn for the head/hands. The boy in blue baby used almost all of the skein of Red Heart Scrubby Stripes (85g/3oz/80yds/73m) and some regular 4-ply yarn for the head/hands.
Hooks: The hooks you will use will vary slightly depending on your yarn. You want to use a hook that will work for your yarn and give a nice baby with no holes when finished. I have used my size H/5mm hook for these dolls holding two strands of the yarn I had and my size I/5.5mm hook for the beanies.
Additional Materials: You will also need a yarn needle big enough for your yarn, stuffing, and safety eyes if you are using those. The safety eyes that I have used are 12mm.
I use US Crochet terms.
I am here all to help and support you in any way I can after you download my pattern.
