Sweet Morning
This sweater is worked seamlessly from top down. First the yoke is worked back and forth on the needles, then joined and worked in
the round. The yoke is formed using the raglan shaping method. From the underarms, the body is worked straight with no shaping.
The garment features a longer back and rounded hems on both front and back. The hem stitches are bound off with an i-cord.
At the end, a crochet slip stitch is applied around the edge of the neck from which 2 layers of stitches are picked up (one at a time), worked for 3 rounds, then joined together to form a single layer again. After that, the neck is finished in 3x3 rib. This technique allows for the edge of the neck to be enveloped in 2 layers of stocking stitch fabric which gives it a crisp and neat finish.
