Starting fresh at the beginning of a new year, or at any other time when we feel the need to reset, can be a wonderful thing. Whether you set a gentle intention for your path, or make strong resolutions you wish to hold yourself to, we all need to pause and reflect before starting fresh. I hope these socks will help you take that time for yourself, and make you smile as you confidently step into a new chapter!

This pattern includes 2 versions for you to choose from.

A special New Year’s collaboration with Tippy Tree Yarns. Visit their website here: https://tippytreeyarns.com/

Yarn and notions:
Version 1: Gentle Intention version (texture at the top and flat rib foot)
Yarn: 1 skein 100g (400-450 yards) Fingering weight, and 2x20g mini skeins
Sample in Tippy Sock, from Tippy Tree Yarns
Colourway: 2025 New Year Cast On!
Needles:
Cuff and flat rib section: 2.25 mm with a long cable for magic loop
Texture band: 2.5 mm needles (see note below) with a long cable for magic loop (or use
your preferred needles such as 9 in circulars or dpns).
* This section of the pattern features slip stitches on multiple rounds which tend to make
knits a little tighter. I went up a needle size to 2.5mm for that reason. If you are a
naturally tight knitter, you may wish to go up to 2.75 mm.
