This pattern is written in standard American (US) terms, in English language, 14 pages of step-by-step instruction and plenty pictures, and video tutorial for succesfull completing of your work. Needed material:
- 5 ply/ 12 wpi/ fine yarn calls for 3,5 mm hook (US E hook)
- hook 3 (5/0) and 3,5 mm (US E hook)
- tapestry needle
- common sewing thread and needle
- 1 white button average 9 mm
- 2 black buttons average 15 mm
- toy filling
- scissors
I used this yarn:
Mix of cotton and acrylic yarn, Stone washed by Scheepjeswol, weight: Sport/ 5ply (12 wpi), Yardage: 130 m / 142 yds in (50g), Gauge: 24 stitches in 4 inch (10 cm). I used these colors: turquoise – green agate (815) (about 22 g), light gray – crystal quartz 814 (about 30 g), light blue - amazonite (813) (about 6 g), small amount of: beige – moon stone (801), dark blue – blue apatite (805), red jasper (807). You will need about 66 g of yarn totally.
Measurement of finished owl: 17 cm / 6,8 inch tall. Please remember, that the size of finished project depends on used material and your own style of crocheting.
Level of the pattern: intermediate
You should know, how to crochet: Chain (CH), Slip stitch (SlSt), Single crochet (SC), Half double crochet (HDC), Double crochet (DC), Increasing (inc): 2 stitches in same stitch, Decreasing (dec): crochet 2 stitches together, Front post Double crochet (FpDC) - explained in the pattern
