When I was finishing these mitts I had the song, “This Girl is on Fire” by Alicia Keys, running through my head… it was just such a wonderful day, I was feeling so grateful that I had work that I loved, that my life was moving forward and for the amazing people that had found their way into my life. I felt like a girl on fire, and I just wanted to share that light. I couldn’t believe that I was the same person, my life seemed unrecognizable from a few years ago - and it allowed me to see that even though we face challenges in life, that fire still lives within us, that we have the power to make changes, to move forward and to take the steps that we need to take in order to live the life our hearts truly desire. In that moment I experienced that we all have the opportunity to be that girl, or guy, on fire, sharing our light with the world.

Thank you to my wonderful editor and test knitter! I couldn’t have done it without you - so grateful for all your help!
