Size 56 sts = size 5-6 ladies shoe
size 64sts = size 7-8 ladies shoe
Size 72 sts - size 9 ladies shoe

any 4ply sock yarn is suitable
A small portion of the contrast colour is required for the cuff. you may want to do the toe in the same colour.
