Sweet Sasha Hat
This is a slouchy cabled beret knit in the round from the bottom up, worked in worsted or aran weight yarn. Sweet Sasha features graceful, sinuous lines inside a gridlike lattice—curvy and structured at the same time. The cables may look complicated, but they’re deceptively simple to work. The cables flow up from the ribbing to create this beautiful double lattice.
You can work the pattern on 9 repeats for a slouchy hat, or on 8 repeats for a more fitted unisex beanie.
Gauge over the cable lattice pattern is 22 sts and 26 rows to 4 inches (10 cm), to get the size indicated.
NOTE: My patterns have charts, but also have COMPLETE WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS for those who prefer to not use charts. ☺
Clarification: on the Slouchy Chart for the Crown Shaping, the text for the Border should read “Last rep only, end 2 sts before marker. Next rnd, end p2. Move marker here: new beg of rnd
