Sweet Spot Slippers are inspired by a sense of good fortune – everything from the mere fluke to universal success. While the simple geometry of the circle is repeated everywhere in the natural and mathematical worlds, the circle is also a favourite feature in culture and design. The circle is at once unmistakable and yet eternally mystical. I was inspired to tread on a sweet spot and bring this thought along with me in life as a touch of good fortune. And just like that, a circle transformed into a slipper.
The red dot under the foot was inspired by a footwear brand. Choose any colour for your dot.

A pair of Sweet Spot Slippers comprises two circles, one wrapped around each foot. The circles are worked from the centre outwards. Work until your crochet circle measures the length of your foot + 2 cm in diameter.
The design gives you free rein to experiment with circular striping and colour changes. Or just work the slipper in your favourite yarn and let the design speak for itself!
