Sweet Spot Socks
The Sweet Spot Socks occupy the sweet spot between mindless, no gauge, any-yarn-will-be-fine knitting and a sophisticated outcome. These are toe up socks, suitable for any weight of yarn from light fingering to worsted, easily customizable to any size of foot.
The design features a simple, repetitive pattern of twisted rib stitches, appropriate for both males and females. The simplicity of the design makes it a great choice for novice sock knitters: accordingly, I have written out the design as a tutorial, with directions and tips for Judy’s Magic Cast On, short row heels, right twist stitches, loop increases, and Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off.
Expert sock knitters can skip the tutorials (and substitute their preferred methods, of course) and head right over to the right twist pattern - which is both charted and written out.
