Needle Size: 4mm hook, or size needed to obtain gauge

Yarn: Light/DK weight 3 yarn. Sample crocheted in Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK. 1233(1507, 2077) yards

Gauge: 13st/10 rows= 4” in double crochet (gauge is after blocking). Each granny square is approx 5.25” x 5.25”

Suggested Bust Measurements: S/M: 32”-39”, L/XL: 40”-47”, 2XL/3XL: 48”-55”

Finished Garment Sizing: S/M: 55” bust x 63.25” height, L/XL: 65” bust x 63.25” height, 2XL/3XL: 75” bust x 73.75” height

The Sweet Summer Ruana is a great garment to use to make a cute summer dress even cuter or to spice up your bathing suit when used as a cover up.

Designed with a lovely granny square motif that is joined as you work each square, it creates a gorgeous lace ruana that is just stunning!

The pattern has directions to make 3 sizes of ruana that are suitable for sizes small to 4XL. (bust measurements 32” to 55”

The sample is made with Paintbox yarns Cotton DK, which is a weight 3 DK cotton yarn. Some suitable substitutes are Lion Brand Coboo or Comfy Cotton, Knit Picks Cotlin, and Novita Cotton Soft. Any weight 3 yarn would work for this project, but I think cotton is preferable to acrylic or wool since it is a summer item.

Yards needed:
S/M: 1233 yards (9 skeins of Paintbox)
L/XL: 1507 yards (11 skeins of Paintbox)
2XL/3XL: 2077 yards (15 skeins of Paintbox)
