Sweet Summer Wristlets
These delicate little wrist-warmers are perfect for slipping under a light cardigan as the summer nights turn to autumn ones. They also match my Sweet Summer Tam pattern perfectly! Knit in the round from the top down, the lace pattern is couched smoothly between a band of garter and a band of ribbing. Pattern includes both written and charted instructions.
Blocked gauge: 24 stitches / 32 rows = 4 inches in pattern.
Finished size: As written: 4.5 inches long from pointed tip; 3 inches wide (negative ease). Pattern includes instructions on how to increase length and add a little more width.
Yarn: I used the left-over half skein of The Fibre Company’s Acadia in “Summersweet” from knitting my Sweet Summer Tam. This yarn is perfect for the summer/autumn transition, and the silk slubs add dimension to the lace pattern.
Materials: Knit in the round on 4mm DPNs; requires 1 stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round.
Stitches used are knit, purl, m1 (or your favourite increase), yo, ssk, and k2tog.
