Who can resist a handful of Candy Corn? These stranded color work mittens will keep your hands toasty all autumn long - especially while you are out Trick-Or-Treating! Instructions and charts are included for both an adult version, featuring a stranded, shaped thumb gusset and thumb, and a child’s version, featuring a solid color after thought thumb.

With a gauge of 9 stitches and 10 rows per inch/2.5cm using US size 2/2.75mm needles, the Adult version measures 8 inches/ 20cm around and is 11 inches/ 28cm long including the 3 inch/7.5cm ribbed cuff.

The Child’s version measures 6 inches/ 15.24cm around and is 8 inches/20cm long including the 2 inch/ 5cm ribbed cuff. By adding or subtracting motifs the child’s size can be easily adjusted.

The samples were knit with Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift. 2 Balls Dusk, 1 Pumpkin, 1 Mimosa, and 1 Natural were required for the adult mittens. Adding an additional Dusk and Pumpkin you will be able to knit both the adult and child sizes.

To enjoy knitting these mittens you should be comfortable knitting color work in a small circumference. Minimal catching in of floats is required.
