Instructions included for both a double breasted version with eight buttons and a version with an internal tie with four buttons. Because of the slight asymetry of the yoke, it is possible to adjust the overlap a lot without messing up the way the sweater lies -- one of my testers only had one column of buttons with a two inch overlap, and I had overlap almost to the armpit with two rows of buttons, and both fit beautifully!
