This pattern includes instructions to knit the Sweet Whale on size 3 double pointed needles, however, increase the yarn size and needle size for a larger whale.

The body of the Sweet Whale is knit in the round, and the tail fins are knit flat and sewn to the whale’s body. The pattern is recommended for intermediate skill level, and uses K, KRL, SSK, K2TOG, KFB and the kitchener stitch (instructions included).
