The Sweet Whimsy Sweater is worked from the bottom up, in the round until you reach the armhole. The front is then worked back and forth, while the back is placed on spare needles or scrap yarn. The back is then reattached and worked back and forth and is seamed to the front using a three-needle bind off. The collar stitches are then picked up, and worked in the round. The sleeves are each picked up and worked in the round, with a large decrease near the wrist to create the balloon sleeve. The ribbing worked on this sweater is a rick rack rib, which creates a zig-zag like ribbing.
