These are long socks (right below knees) with white and red colors. Both the leg and the foot has heart shape figures along with abstract design. The rib (with cable) just before the heel flap helps to fit the sock without too much ease in the ankle. The socks are meant to be fit and they look good on top of tights/pantyhose. The socks are for normal/slender size feet (and calves) width wise, but the foot part can be knitted as long as necessary for the a perfect foot size.

The gauge (18/26) is for US 6 (4 mm) needles. I personally use US 4 (3.5 mm) needles, which give me gauge 20 sts/28 rounds for 4 in (10 cm).

7 Brothers by Novita is a high quality Finnish sock yarn (Aran weight), and has 75 % wool (can be ordered on WEBS and Deramores websites). The rest is polyamide. Any Aran weight yarn with the similar gauge would work for these socks. One ball of each color is needed.
