This sweet Baby Gnome is carrying a big stuffed heart to show his love! He stands only six and a quarter inches tall to the tip of his hat, but has lots of love to share. Samples were made in worsted weight yarn, but you could make him in any gauge by adjusting the yarn weight and needle size. A quick project, and a good way to use small amounts of yarn.
Gnome and hat are knitted together. The only attachments to make at the end of the construction are to sew the arms and heart onto the body.
Pattern calls for a flat metal washer to be inserted into the bottom to weight the bottom of the gnome and to help the gnome stand upright. If the gnome is to be a toy, do not insert the washer.
