This Sweetheart Market Bag is great for carrying goods from a farmers market or a trip to the grocery store. It is written for cotton in both a large and small size, Home Maker Dec yarn in a large and small and one size using Wool and the Gang Mixtape yarn. At the end of the pattern there are suggestions to use more eco friendly yarns. Double win for the Earth!

I created this bag because I wanted one that was knit in the round and a pattern that was easy to keep track of. When I came across this heart stitch I knew it was the perfect one. The repeat is short and each round is easily identifiable and makes such cute little hearts. It is made in one continuous piece so there are only 2 ends to weave in. I made 2 sizes because I like to use the large one for lightweight bulky items like boxes of cereal and bags of snacks and the small ones are perfect for heavy things like produce.

It is marked as an intermediate pattern due to picking up stitches, binding off and casting on mid project, and unusual stitches. There is a video to show how I picked up stitches in this project and how to work the heart stitch. There is also a photo tutorial.
