THIS IS AN INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED KNITWEAR DESIGN AND IT MAY BE NOT BEGINNER FRIENDLY

Sweetheart was my first sweater design, I made it back in 2019 with the idea of having cute winter clothes. The goal was to knit a sweater that resembled a corset design.

Sweetheart is worked flat from the bottom up starting with tubular 1x1 ribbing. The corset motif is made by combining stockinette stitch, seed stitch and cables. The sweetheart mock neckline is made by german short rows and I-cord bind off, while the rest of the garment is made by lace stitch.
The sleeves are worked flat from the bottom up combining all of the last stitches mentioned. Each part of the sweater (front, back and sleeves) is blocked flat to measurements and then sewn together, the shoulders are sewn with kitchener stitch while the sides and sleeves are sewn using mattress stitch.

Sizing: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) // XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL) designed to be worn with 10-15cm / 4-6” positive ease.
