Sweetheart Tote Bag
Sweetheart Tote
I had so much fun designing this bag, I recently learned how to fish for my birthday, something that I have wanted to do for a very long time. My daughter and husband accompanied me (whether they wanted to or not, lol) and I had so much fun! While we were out fishing, I realized that we didn’t really have a lot of bags around the house to carry things for outings and since my day was SO filled with love and fun, I decided to make this Sweetheart Bag! Born from love and one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had!
Supplies Needed:
• A 3 mm hook. This is also somewhat optional. If you want a bigger bag, go to a 3.5 mm, a little smaller, 2.75. Up to you!
• Approx. 500 yards of yarn. Although I do not know the exact amount. I used about a fourth of a skein of Red Heart Super Saver Heather Gray, and a 1 and 1/4th skein of Red Heart Super Saver Aran yarn. Size 5 medium Yarn. Obviously, color is your choice!
• A yarn needle, for sewing in ends.
Optional Supplies – If you want to sew a lining into your bag.
• Approx. 1 yard of fabric in your choice of color.
• Thread in matching colors.
• A sewing machine or needles for hand sewing.
• A tape measure.
Stitches you need to know and their abbreviations:
• Single Crochet – sc
• Slip Stitch – ss
• Single Crochet 2 Together – sc2tog or dec
• Double Crochet – dc
• Chain – ch
• * to * - Repeat all within the star marks.
