English:
An easy sweater for boys and girls. Sweetie has stripes on the yoke and arms that pop out, not only because of the light colour and different stitch but also because of the Kid Silk yarn that really adds to the cuddliness.
When you take a better look, you see surprising details.These eyelet motifs are placed between the stripes, at the outside of the arms and create faux side seams.
The sweater is knitted in the round and bottom-up.

Pattern
The pattern includes instructions for sizes: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 years with finished bust circumference: 23”/58 cm, 25”/62 cm, 27”/67 cm, 29”/72 cm, 30.5”/76 cm. (English version shows measurements in inches & cm). The always cheerful models on the photo’s show size 1.
The pattern also includes step-by-step instructions for the specific cast-on & bind-off used, and explains how you can invisibly change colours in circular knitting (7 pages in total).

Yarn
For the two examples (brown and blue) I used 2 different main yarns. Brown version: Drops - Baby Merino unicolour & the blue version: Sandnes Garn - Tynn Merinoull. For both versions I used Drops Kids Silk unicolour for the stripes (worked with 2 strands) but any thin Kid Silk will do. For all sizes one ball of Kid Silk is enough. From the main yarn you need: 2 (1 yr), 3 (2 yrs), 4 (4 & 6 yrs), 5 (8 yrs) balls of ca. 175m (191yds).

Nederlands:
Een makkelijk unisex truitje. Sweetie heeft strepen op de pas en armen die er echt uitspringen en dat komt niet alleen door de lichtere kleur en afwijkende steek maar ook door het Kid Silk garen. Lekker knuffelig!
Het truitje wordt van onder af aan rondgebreid.
Als je beter kijkt, zie je nog een paar verrassende details. Het gaatjes motief zit tussen de strepen maar is ook gebruikt om valse zijnaden te creëren en loopt ook over de buitenkant van de arm.

Het patroon
Het patroon is geschreven voor de maten: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 jaar met borstomtrek trui: 58 cm, 62 cm, 67 cm, 72 cm, 76 cm. De altijd vrolijke modellen op de foto’s dragen maat 1.
In het patroon vind je ook instructies voor de gebruikte opzet & afkanting en wordt uitgelegd hoe je hoe je bij rondbreien kunt wisselen van kleur zonder dat dit een verspringing in je truitje oplevert (7 pagina’s in totaal.).

Garen
In de twee voorbeelden (bruin en blauw) heb ik twee verschillende hoofdgarens gebruikt. Bruine versie: Drops - Baby Merino unicolour & blauwe versie: Sandnes Garn - Tynn Merinoull. Voor beide versies heb ik Drops Kids Silk unicolour gebruikt voor de strepen (dubbeldraads gebreid) maar hiervoor kun je eigenlijk ieder dun Kid Silk garen gebruiken.
Voor alle maten heb je aan één bol Kid Silk genoeg. Van het hoofdgaren heb je: 2 (1 jr), 3 (2 jr), 4 (4 & 6 jr), 5 (8 jr) bollen nodig van ca. 175 meter.
