Sweetie Socks
As a child, I loved nothing more than walking to the corner shop for a bag of my favourite sweets.
Would it be Pineapple Cubes, Cola Bottles, Lemon Sherbets or Yorkshire Mixture? The shelves were filled with jars of these delights, and lots of them were twisted into shiny wrappers.
It was these colourfully wrapped sweets that came to my mind as I was knitting the Sweetie Socks.
The texture of the knits and purls take me right back to those childhood days!
Sock Details
The socks feature a pretty knit and purl texture that is relaxing and straightforward to knit. It would make a great beginner pattern, as well as being super enjoyable for a more experienced knitter.
The pattern uses a traditional heel flap and gusset, and my much loved Umbrella Toe.
Sizes
The pattern comes in 3 sizes - Small (56 sts), Medium (64 sts) and Large (72 sts). The stitch pattern is both written and charted. Instructions are written for the magic loop method, but other methods can of course be used.
Yarn
The pattern sample is knitted using Cascade Heritage in shade 5737 - Dusky Coral. The stitch pattern will be shown to it’s best by using a solid/semi solid/tonal yarn.
