Sweetly Swirling Beanie
I wanted a hat that would show the BEAUTIFUL colors of this yarn, without having TOO much texture and taking away from the yarn itself. The Sweetly Swirling Beanie will make your yarn the star of the show, while giving you a visually interesting texture that works up very quickly. This simple design is a great one for beginners or advanced crocheters alike, and will look great with variegated and solid colors of yarn!
This pattern is written in adult sizing, with info on how to modify your size. There are two options included in the pattern for a beanie option OR a messy bun option with a removable pom-pom (for those days you want to wear your hair down, but still get the most wear out of your hat)!!
For this project, you will need a few things:
• Yarn: Approx. 175-200 m of your yarn of choice. This hat can be made using an #4 yarn – just check your measurements as you go to ensure you will have a perfect fitting hat!
Shown in:
- Red Heart Super Saver Stripes in Polo Stripe - #4 Medium weight yarn
• Hook: J/6.00mm hook (if you crochet loose, you may want to downsize your hook to 5mm or 5.5mm if it is working up too big)
• Pom-Pom Maker (if desired) – Clover brand #65 is what I use OR
• Faux Fur Pom Pom (I used a Lion Brand the POM in Ultraviolet)
• Button(s) to add to the brim and a large, flat button (1-1/4”) if you’d like to make a removable pom-pom.
• Darning Needle (to weave in ends)
I am a tight crocheter, so I have included tips and instructions on how to modify your hat size, as well as a chart to guide you when it comes to average head sizes.
As always, you are free to sell and gift your finished product as much as you’d like, but please do not copy, rewrite, or resell my pattern.
Because this is a digital file, there will be no refunds given. BUT I am more than happy to help you succeed with this pattern, so please contact me if you run into trouble! :)
