Sweetly Swirling Cowl
After creating the Sweetly Swirling Beanie, I NEEDED to create a cowl to match! The Sweetly Swirling Cowl will once again make your yarn the star of the show, while giving you a visually interesting texture that works up very quickly. This simple design is a great one for beginners or advanced crocheters alike, and will look great with variegated and solid colors of yarn!
This pattern is written in one size, with info on how to make it larger or smaller.
For this project, you will need a few things:
• Yarn: Approx. 250m of your yarn of choice. This cowl can be made using any yarn - you will just want to watch your measurements and adjust your size accordingly. I worked it up in a #6 Bulky yarn (Loops & Threads Kaleidoscope in Crystal and LOVE the results! Have fun!
Shown in:
- Red Heart Super Saver Stripes in Polo Stripe - #4 Medium weight yarn
Note: I had 2 skeins of RHSS Stripes in Polo Stripe. I made the Sweetly Swirling Beanie and then made the cowl with the remainder of the first skein and the entire second skein. I used all but one meter of yarn (I did not make the pom pom for the beanie – I used a faux fur one)!
• Hook: J/6.00mm hook
• Darning Needle (to weave in ends)
I am a tight crocheter, so I have included tips and instructions on how to modify your hat size, as well as a chart to guide you when it comes to average head sizes.
As always, you are free to sell and gift your finished product as much as you’d like, but please do not copy, rewrite, or resell my pattern.
Because this is a digital file, there will be no refunds given. BUT I am more than happy to help you succeed with this pattern, so please contact me if you run into trouble! :)
