Swiffer Cover
The yardage for this is up to you. You can use scraps as I did so unfortunately I didn’t take note of the amount I used. But no more than a skein of each colour I’d imagine.
Materials:
I chose to use Stylecraft classique DK 100% cotton as it washes up well.
• Stylecraft classique (soft lime) and Stylecraft craft cotton (Ecru) (100% cotton, 100g ball.
DK, 166 metres).
• 2 colours of your choice. I chose the following colours;
A. Ecru 5005
B. Soft Lime 3663 (I have had this yarn kicking around for some time and now this colour
is discontinued)
• 4mm, US size G hook, Tension: 22 stitches and 28 rows for a 10cm x10cm tension
square.
• Tapestry needle to sew/weave in ends
• scissors.
Measurements: finished crochet size is 11” x 8½” (28cms x 21.6cms).
2 x 2” x11” ( 5cms x 28cms) for each flap and the ruffled area is 4½ x11” ( 11.5cms x 28cms).
When the flaps are turned over and the ends are sewn together the finished size is 11” x 4½”
(28cms x 11.5cms) which fits the swiffer head.
