Swimming Hole Shawl
ABOUT:
Knit a simple shawl that looks like it was hand-woven on a loom! The Swimming Hole Shawl is knit from side-to-side using the lovely, Herringbone Stitch, which is an easy to remember, meditative, 2-row repeat. A scalloped ripple border is the perfect finishing touch on this beautiful statement piece. Go grab two skeins of your favorite fingering weight yarn and let’s cast on a work of art!
YARN:
850 yards of any fingering weight yarn. I used “The Autumn Acorn” yarn, 75% merino, 25% nylon, for my sample. Each skein has 437 yds/100 g/3.5 oz, 4-ply sock yarn and I used 2 skeins.
NEEDLES + HOOKS:
U.S. 7/4.5 mm circular needles with a 30”/76 cm length cable
U.S. I/9/5.50 mm crochet hook
NOTIONS:

GAUGE:
11 sts x 6 rows knit in Herringbone Stitch on US 7/4.5 mm needles, blocked = 1”/2.5 cm. Gauge is not very important for this pattern.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
