We should qualify the “Beginner” aspect; “Advanced Beginner” is what the pattern says, and they’re right. There’s a reasonable amount going on, given the top-down manufacture, the garter and st st combination within the fabric, and the raglan increasing for the sleeves; and yet all of this is simple on its own. It’s doing it all at once that’s the Advanced part (that, and learning to tell the right side of the fabric from the wrong side). But Pinheiro is a good pattern writer and keeps you on the right track.
