SWIRLS is a huge and very colourful Fair Isle shawl.
It´s made using a total of 15 colours – eight light blue/green shades for the background and seven bright red, pink and orange shades for the swirls. You could also use a self-striping yarn, for example Kauni.
The shawl is knit in the round with a steek – that´s why there are hardly any purl stitches – once the shawl has the desired size you cut the steek and add a colourful border.
Don´t worry about knitting and cutting a steek – the pattern is very detailed and will guide you through it.

SWIRLS ist ein großes, in der Fair Isle Technik gestricktes Tuch, das von seinen vielen Farben lebt.
Insgesamt 15 Farben – aufgeteilt in zwei Farbgruppen - wurden im Original verstrickt – eine Alternative dazu sind Farbverlaufsgarne wie bspw. Kauni.
Das Tuch wird in Runden mit einem Steek gestrickt, hinterher aufgeschnitten und rundherum mit einer Bordüre versehen. Diese Technik ermöglicht es, das Tuch nahezu komplett mit rechten Maschen zu stricken.
