As a child one of my favourite books was “Heidi”. I can remember reading how she would gaze out of her small loft window onto the Fir trees and the Swiss Alps and my mind would see such beautiful visions of scenery through her eyes.
Fashion your own Swiss Alps with the soft and light halo haze of Baby Alpaca and capture your own favourite image. Daytime with blues? Fresh Spring days with greens? Or the soft rays of evening light as the sun sets over the hills and mountains casting a magical glow.
Make something beautiful, make something special and feel incredible when you let this cast it’s softness, beauty and grace over your very own shoulders.
The borders are mock cables, no extra needles required and are simpler to create than other cables. I love easy.
All the colourwork is simple in this design, no carrying of two colours along the rows. It’s just simple mosaic stitches which are as easy as slipping a stitch and with only one colour per row. My kind of knitting!
The rest of the effect is simply striped Chevrons that create such interesting angled stripes.
This pattern is written out in full row-by-row and does not use charts.
