This is a super fast knit that can easily be adjusted in size. These are a super fun and warm last minute hand knit gift that uses less then half a skein for a pair.

In my youth, while back packing in Europe and traveling on a Euro Rail Pass, I used to knit these up. I learned how to knit them from my Swiss traveling mates. Unwilling to spend what little money we had left on warm clothes, feeling our money was better spent at Oktoberfest, we made wrist warmers to keep us cozy. Surprisingly, they really worked!

Besides keeping us warm, we thought they were pretty hip. They look great peaking out underneath a sweater or shirt. They also took little to no space in our back packs. Since they did not require a lot of yarn to make, we were also quite successful at persuading other travels to relinquish their left over yarn for our benefit.

I have fond memories of these wrist warmers. They are the perfect travel accessory.

Today I wear them to walk the dog. Light and small in my pocket they always come in very handy.
