Switchbacks
In the stunning Okanagan Valley, we are surrounded by a backdrop of towering mountain ranges. In the winter, people flock to the ski hills, carried up by switchbacks along the way. In the summer, hikers spread out across the valley, roaming the numerous mountain trails. The winding cable and lace pattern on Switchbacks was inspired by all of these paths and roads, and the valley that humbly connects them. It also reminds me of berries on a vine, a perfect nod to the orchards and vineyards scattered around our hills!
Switchbacks are a quick, fun knit for an intermediate knitter or advanced beginner. They use lace stitches and small cables, and are worked in the round. They feature a ribbed panel on the underside for a comfy fit.
