Switching Gears Shawlette is subtle in its simplicity. As a busy wife and mom, I need projects that not only produces a beautiful finished object, but is also fun to make and easy to carry around that can be put down and pick up effortlessly. This shawlette is especially perfect for working on during the pick up line at school, piano lessons, or gymnastic practice.
5/4/16 ERRATA: Row 1 is missing a YO. It should read at the end of the row: …K to last 3 sts, YO, K3 – 4 sts inc’d.

- BLOCKING: The points on the edge are created at blocking - points are not written into patterns. Block with or without points.
{PATTERN NOTES}
The shawl is worked from the top-down in St st. Begin by weighing your skein. The first section is raglan shaped then transitions to the second split section. The simple edging adds a bit of interest.
Skill Level: Advance Beginner/Intermediate {Easy}
Finished Measurements: About 60” wide and 15” deep (blocked)
{MATERIALS}
Yarn: Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 420yards/100g; Lolita – 1 skein)
Needle: US 6 (4.0 mm) or size to obtain gauge
Extras: Yarn needle, 4 stitch markers
Gauge: 20 sts and 36 rows = 4” in St st (blocked)
Don’t play “yarn chicken” on the edging, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE or work in contrast color.
