Swoon: That hat all the punks wear.

Yeah, everyone has one of these hats in East Van. They’re part of the uniform. Usually black or grey or muted tones. They are super cool looking and pretty functional while you’re riding your bike or getting rained on. Last year I found out where everyone was getting their caps from, a shop downtown was selling them for $1. I bought a couple and pretty quickly realized why they were only a buck to buy. Cheaply made, not super warm, stretched out. Hey guess what, I’m a knitter. I just made up my own pattern and knit a couple for myself and friends out of some nice wool. Problem solved! Love this hat.
