Swoon
If you would like to purchase a kit that also includes a download code for the pattern, they are now available from Natural Fibre Arts (I knit mine using the Peachy Pinks kit).
Costume dramas are my guilty pleasure. The visuals are so enjoyable to behold that I can’t resist watching and often re-watching them, spying the colours and the textures of all those marvelous outfits parading through beautiful sets and scenery. This shawl is inspired by such quiet afternoons spent knitting while my latest choice of Austen, Shakespeare, Wilde, or Bronte adaptation plays in the background.
Swoon is designed for 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn. The main colour can be lightly variegated to bring interest to your garter stitch sections while a matching solid contrast will highlight the prettiness of your lace. It’s lovely to wear either bundled up or delicately draped over your back, and it is a wonderfully meditative knit, perfect for time spent perhaps watching your own swoon-worthy favourites (anyone else looking forward to Season 3 of Bridgerton?).
The pattern has full written instructions that include the lace. Charts are provided, there are stitch counts throughout, as well as a tick-sheet to track your progress.
Yarn
MC (lightly variegated): 1 skein of Natural Fibre Arts Eco Lux Sock at 400m/437yd per 100g/3.5oz (my sample used 83g col. Tangelo).

Yarn substitution: Fingering weight (4ply) yarns with approx. 400m/437yd per 100g/3.5oz are best for similar results.
