Yarn, Yardage, and Colors
The sample is shown in fingering weight, but the pattern works well in anything from a lace to an aran. The pattern pairs well with most yarns - the lace shows up well in anything from a variegated to a solid and the pattern is easily adjustable to size or yardage.
Size
Size can be customized by working extra/fewer repeats in the body. When worked as stated, shawl has a wingspan of 43”/109cm and measures 25”/56cm down the back.

The shawl is worked in one piece from the top down.

Overview of the Finished Object
The Sylvan Lake Shawl is an overall lace shawl that is super open and lightweight. It’s a classic symmetrical top down triangle. The spine is a series of diamonds and the same diamond pattern is repeated along the bottom edge as well.
