I proudly present my first pattern of the year!
And I do hope to see lots of children wearing this cute top-down and seamless sweater throughout the year.

Construction
The sweater is worked top-down and seamlessly.

• You start from a traditional cast-on and the ribbed collar is worked in-the-round. (You may start from a provisional cast-on below the collar. Read further under Cast-on for yoke).
• The yoke is worked in lace pattern in-the-round followed by stockinette sts to underarms.
• Work is separated for body and sleeves
• The main body is worked in-the-round in stockinette sts. The hem is worked in rib-pattern.
• The sleeves are worked in the round in stockinette sts. The cuffs are worked in rib-pattern.

Sizes
Finished chest circumferences/ages: Size 1: 49 cm/19” (1 year to 18 months) Size 2: 55 cm/22” (2 – 3 years) Size 3: 61 cm/24” (4 – 5 years) Size 4: 66 cm/26” (6 – 7 years) Size 5: 71 cm/28” (8 – 9 years)

Materials
Yarn: I used “Pernilla” from Filcolana, in the colourway 820/Isabella Melange. This DK weight yarn comes in balls of 50 gr/1.76 oz, and 175 m/191 yards. You will need 350/425/525/600/700 m = 385/465/575/660/770 yards to work the sweater. Needles: Circular needles, size 3 mm/US2.5 for the neckline, the yoke and the lower body. DPNS (or circular needles, if working the magic loop), size 3 mm/US2.5 for the sleeves and cuffs.

Gauge 26 sts and 36-38 rounds = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”
