I proudly present this tested summer-top pattern.

The intricate looking yoke is easier to work than you may think and it is also quite additictive!

The summer-top version is worked top-down and seamlessly , it has a deep, lace-patterned yoke, a twisted stitch-pattern on the hem and the sleeve-edges.
The neck-line is finished by an I-cord.
The lower body of the sample has an A-line shaping, but it is perfectly fine to work the top without any shaping, or with waist-shaping.

Sizes
Finished chest measurements, after washing/blocking and worked at gauge: 75/80/88/97/103/113/121/130 cm = 30/31.5/34.5/38/40.5/44.5/48/51” The sample is worked in size 2, with no ease. Choose a size close to your chest circumference.

Materials
Yarn: I recommend a sport, or fingering weight yarn, that knits up to gauge. I used the Organic Cotton 2 from Krea Deluxe, in colour 35. This sport weight yarn comes in balls of 50 gr/1.76 oz and 165 m/180 yards. Of this specific yarn you will need 620/660/760/820/880/940/1000/1100 m = 675/720/830/895/1025/1090/1200 yards.
Needles size 3 mm/US2.5 (or size to obtain gauge).
NotionsCrochet hook and waste-yarn for the provisional cast-on. Waste-yarn, or holders for keeping the sleeve-sts. 2 removable stitch-markers.
Cable needle (cn). Tapestry needle. Blocking tools.

Gauge
24 sts and 36 - 38 rounds = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4”, in stockinette sts and also the lace-pattern.

The pattern

This pattern is tested.
The lace-pattern of the yoke is written out, as well as charted.
The pattern of the sleeve-edges and hem are written out.
The provisional cast-on is explained.
The short-rows at the center back neck (to give some shaping) are explained.
The I-cord edge of the neckline is explained.
