Sylvia the Posable Sloth Amigurumi
This 18-page PDF crochet pattern contains step-by-step instructions (with many pictures) on how to make a posable crochet sloth! Using wires to make it posable is completely optional; this pattern can be done with or without wire. It is written in English and uses standard American crochet terminology. Plus, an abbreviations list is included!
This pattern includes a lot of extra features and guides, including an appendix on color changing, two ways of making the claws (a “faster” 2D and “a bit slower” 3D way!), abbreviation list, and an optional section guiding you how to add wires for the arms and legs
You don’t have to have any experience with making armatures to follow this pattern. The wire work is very simple and aimed at first time armaturists!
Overall, this is a pattern best suited for experienced beginners and up. It is assumed you know the amigurumi staples, like the magic ring. The stitches used are not complex, but there is a lot of color changing and shaping throughout the pattern. However, even if you are not very experienced with color changing, there is an appendix to guide you through it!
If you use worsted weight yarn, the sloth will be qpprox. 5.5 x 4 x 4in(14.0 x 10.2cm).
Here’s everything you’ll need:
