This construction of socks allows for perfectly symmetric gradient socks. Gradients for both socks are exactly the same, in color sequence as well as in the width of colors and transitions.

In order to obtain the perfectly symmetric gradient, both socks are worked as one piece, then the steek is cut in two areas that connect “siamese” socks, finally the cut is seamed. Cuffs, toes and heels are worked separately for each sock.

Although detailed instructions are for the size XS, they are easily adaptable to any size and stitch pattern. Adaptations are discussed at the end of the pattern.
