The Symmetry Shawl features symmetrical triangular lines that lend the shawl an airy drape, reminiscent of a lace curtain fluttering in a breeze.

The 48” x 23” shawl sports two tassels for a stylish effect over the shoulders. It can also be worn as a cowl or decorative accessory to your wardrobe.

The shawl was constructed using one 1000m (1094 yards) Scheepjes Whirl cotton/acrylic blend fingering weight in “Petrol Me Please”. While you can certainly use any suitable fingering weight yarn for this project, the pattern is not suitable for heavier weight fibers. The pattern calls for a 2.75mm hook.

The shawl is composed primarily of DC stitches, making it a moderately easy project, but the construction does require attention to detail.

A short video clip of the shawl in motion is available on my Wordpress site.
