Blue Ribbon Winner at Desoto County Fair!!

The Synapse Hat is a design near to my heart. I designed this hat years ago when my youngest daughter joined the high school marching band and needed a spirited mom to cheer her on!

As I made this hat I kept thinking about dendrites and synapses…I’m a nurse, I couldn’t help it! The stitch you will use I call the dendrite double crochet.

Let your imagination go crazy with color choices and create a hat that reflects your personality!

Before washing the hats, the dendrites will naturally stick out a bit, but once washed and dried they will swing and move with you like hair! (last picture shows my granddaughter wearing her hat after washing)’

Materials:

H hook
size 4 yarn (Red Heart Super Saver works great)
scissors
needle to weave in ends
