This pattern is available from baawool.co.uk for £4.50.

This pattern was designed as part of “A Traveller’s Dye-ry” - a unique project lead by Janice Anderson of BaaWool with her daughter and photographer Jenny Anderson. Inspired by a selected country from Jenny’s travel photography, each dyer created a unique colour-way which were subsequently supported by an intricate design.

Photography, hand dyed yarn and designs are currently exhibited (from Monday 4th to Saturday 9th October, 10am to 5pm), at the wonderful gallery and popup shop Hy, in Stonehaven, Scotland. A beautiful coffee table book completes the display.

To find more about the exhibition, visit Baa!, yarn shop at the heart of this project, or read their latest blog post about the event.

Please note that the main photo is a placeholder, as patterns will be revealed and available for sale from the opening of the exhibition, on Monday 4th October.

About the pattern:

Displaying stacked arches with a touch of lace, an original heel flap, and a Princess sole, these balanced Socks are inspired by the coastal contrasts of Portugal.

The yarn in this pattern is the “Portugal” colour-way by Giddy Yarns.
