Synfonie is a garter stitch scarf in three colours. This is an extremely simple pattern, perfectly suitable for a beginner’s first project. Still, it is so beautiful, both elegant and understated, that even an experienced knitter will appreciate the final object. It is a extremely fast knit and hence a very good pattern for gifts.

Garter stitch knit in three colours results in such a beautiful effect, it is a wonder that we do not use it more often. It is also extremely easy to knit, because there is no need to use any fancy colour change techniques: you have the yarn with the next colour waiting to be knitted at the end of every row.

It is knit sideways, in order to obtain vertical stripes. Its
simplicity makes it particular appropriate for a man’s scarf, but add bright colours or novelty yarn for a feminine touch. Use different types of yarn, of very different thickness or/and variegated, for extra originality. This stitch is extremely versatile, use your imagination.

I’m providing the pattern for free, but I’d really appreciate that you include your project with photos on Ravelry, if you use it.
