Sypressi is a fun, oversized sweater with joyful stripes. Thanks to its simple, seamless top-down construction, it’s also perfect as a first sweater.

Yarn: Cyrano by De Rerum Natura (100% wool, 164 yds / 150 m – 100 g).
MC: 4 (4, 5, 5, 6) (6, 7, 7) skeins of colourway Genêt (yellow sample) or Baleine Bleue (blue sample).
CC: 1 (1, 2, 2, 2) (2, 2, 2) skein(s) of colourway Bois De Rose (yellow sample) or Erable (blue sample).

If you decide to use another yarn, you will need approx. 580 (640, 720, 800, 870) (960, 1050, 1140) yds / 530 (590, 660, 730, 800) (880, 960, 1040) m of aran-weight yarn in MC and approx. 130 (155, 175, 200, 230) (260, 295, 325) yds / 120 (140, 160, 180, 210) (240, 270, 300) m of aran-weight yarn in CC.

Needles: US 6 / 4 mm (for ribbing) and US 8 / 5 mm (for body and sleeves) 32” / 80 cm circular needles. DPNs of the same sizes for small circumference knitting, if not using the Magic Loop Method.

Notions: Stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn.

GAUGE
14 sts x 20 rnds to 4” / 10 cm on US 8 / 5 mm needles in Stockinette Stitch, after blocking.

CONSTRUCTION
This sweater is knitted seamlessly from the top down with raglan seams. The stripes are worked as follows: three rounds of main colour (MC) followed by one round of contrast colour (CC).
