This simple yoke top is shaped by changing your gauge as you knit. Only one or two increase rounds (depending on your size) are knit just after the cast on - from then on, all shaping is created by changing your needles and adding in a second yarn.
The loose gauge creates a sheer, floating fabric, ideal for layering over tanks and tees on cool summer evenings.
Choosing a Size: The sample shown is size 2 modelled with 4.5” of positive ease. For a similar fit, choose a size about 4” larger than your actual bust. Note the armscye is quite deep, which adds ease around the bust as well, so if you prefer a slimmer fit, 2” of ease will also work well.
This pattern has lots of opportunity for modifications in the sleeves, body length and edgings. Visit the projects page to see some of the great samples that have been knit up.
