Have some fun with a gradient yarn by letting it do the work for you. Done Roving is a yarn that shifts from one color to another seamlessly. I have incorporated a solid contrasting color in a pattern of alternating rows to add some interest to the color play.
The shawl is knit in one piece from the top down beginning with an easy garter stitch pattern and then transitioning into my variation of a feather and fan stitch. All the while shaping is done with a simple 4 individual yarn over increases on each right side row.
The pattern is entirely in both charts and row by row written instructions and should suit the intermediate knitter.
The yarns used are 11 wpi ( wraps per inch) and could easily be substituted just be sure if using 2 diffierent yarns they are the same wpi. Done Roving have several yarns that look very similar, look for the 500yds, in a carry container.
Materials needed for project:

Plymouth Selet DK Merino Superwash- 2 skeins- 260 yds.
