Update August 2019, I’ve recently re-worked this pattern to make it more user friendly. The colour changes on the top piece have been changed slightly alongside some minor changes to parts of the pattern to improve the knitting experience. This Jurassic creature will make a statement on any wall. The taxidermy T-Rex features small and large bobbles that make up the ridges along the head.

The T-Rex head is knitted in two pieces on straight needles and then sewn together using a mattress stitch, so there’s no working in the round. It is an intermediate pattern as it includes lots of knitting and purling on a row, alongside increasing, decreasing, changing colours and bobbles.
There’s also some sewing up. Stitch markers are used to mark where to place the eyes and nostrils so it’s super easy to put together. Templates are used for the teeth and a step by step photo tutorial is included for sewing up.

The pattern includes instructions to make a mini and giant T-Rex, so if you can’t fit a big one in your home I’m sure you can find some space for a baby one! The pattern is the same for both, just the needle and yarn sizes change.

See the second image in the listing for all the materials you’ll need. The pattern does require a MDF backing board which you can find on my Etsy shop or website. The heads are sewn onto the board and then attached to the wall.
