The Tabitha Tote is the first in a series of patterns which will explore using a combination of feltable and non-feltable yarns to create original, textured, colorful, lightly felted bags with a distinctive boho feel. Each bag will be unique. The yarns you use are completely your choice; the stitches and textures are your choice; the colors your choice. Strands of various weight yarns can be held together to create different color combinations and textures. The pattern provides guidelines for how to make choices that work. These guidelines are followed by the bag pattern proper. Any feltable yarn from lace weight to bulky weight, and any non-feltable yarn from laceweight to sportweight can be incorporated into the project. So dive into your stash, purchase an interesting yarn or two, and create something entirely your own! The bag is knit in the round from the base up, then lightly felted in a washing machine.

Yardage requirements are the equivalent of 150 yards of bulky weight yarn for the small tote and 200 yards or bulky weight yarn for the large tote.
