According to pattern: Tablecloth made of red cotton {or similar} fabric, or the color of your choice. Size: 64” square.

This is a pattern for 2 different things: Four 2 3/8” wide crocheted “insertions” and crocheted lace 1 3/8” deep for border. The 4 insertions are made up of motifs. They are crisscrossed and sewn into the tablecloth to form a square in the center.
